In Kent and Medway, to apply for a Grammar school place, children must pass the 11 Plus test. Glynda Cullen will ensure your child is prepared for the four elements of the test. Her two-hour gap analysis check with a child ensures that areas of difficulties are identified. Thereafter, weekly sessions face-to-face not only give children practice in targeted areas, but Glynda also manages anxiety children may experience.
Why Mrs O offers English tuition.
Initially Maths was the main focus, however some of Mrs O’s students passed Maths, but failed English at GCSE. Without a pass in both subjects, schools refused their places for sixth form. Mrs O recruited Julie Arguile to help her. Not only did the English tuition help with their English grades, their comprehension improved in worded Maths questions and other subjects too.

What Mrs O observed is that children may find one of the Sciences (Biology/Chemistry/Physics) difficult and it brings down the overall grade if doing the Dual Award Science. The specification is so big that sometimes the pace in lessons is too fast for some children to process all the information. Collen Sawall is a passionate scientist and can plug those gaps in knowledge or understanding.

Some schools teach Python, whilst others use Java. At A-Level, if a child has not learned how to use Java programming, it is difficult to transition. Matt Gill not only helps with the use of the programming, but also the application and exam preparation.
